ready for the fall racing season to crank up real soon, in two weeks we have our 4th Pro race of the year.

Just put in a radical new idea in our timing system, we now for (pro only) get a free red light up to 15 thousands. After much thought and so far this year 43% red ratio in Pro, I decided to try this. We had a mini meet last week and it went over great. Only 1 red light all night. This is how it works, you can be on either side of 0, which is a perfect light, we just add the amount of your light to your E.T and see which car is the closest to 0 .  In other words for example a –5 red light .200 Top Fuel run would beat a + 6 .200 Top Fuel run, when you go over minis 10 then it’s a red light. I don’t think any group on earth would try this but our group, I think NHRA should try it as well, you tell me who did the better job of light cutting, the guy having a minis 5 light or the other guy having a plus 48. I think it’s a screw job and I’m sick of all the red lights taking the fun out of our otherwise best racing system in the country, including 1/24th scale. Would like to see how many races they have that are less than 1/10,000, in a season, we  sometimes have two a night.  Anyway we will have a  Pro race two weeks from tonight, so I will have a better feel then, but it looks like a hell of a idea now. Big news of the year was the possible run of all  time, the 115.97 blast heard round the hobby a couple weeks ago.  We are always looking to improve the sport, and will leave no stones unturned to find any new info, the next step will be to get that e.t. under a .168, need to get the car out of the hole as clean as possible, needing an 18 inch time of at least around .039 to do it.  There has been quite a few armatures changes as we’ve progressed in this hobby, which has made us change our class format more times than we’d like.  These classes and armature combo’s have been extensively tested, and work very, very well.   Another thing that’s gonna happen soon is racing between the groups via a web cam, after the first of the year we are going to be racing the Solanco group once a month on Saturday mornings. We will qualify the cars then make the ladder, then each driver will run his race separately, we will then add up the e.t. and reaction times and see who won, having a 8 race season with 40 bucks per class to win.  So a lot of exciting things are coming for the hobby , stay tunned and lets get those tracks and cars built.
