Welcome to News and Views (Nov 20 2009)

Well thought I better touch base to let everyone know what’s going on in Nebraska.

We’ve been real busy racing running 40 races this year and  more on tap for next year, looking at 3 races a week in the winter and early spring., then backing it off a bit for summer. The latest news I have is the tire being made for us at Scale Auto, it’s a black silicone coated tire which is mile per houring more than 4 mph better than any other tire we’ve found, It’s a very smooth tacky silicone which seems to hold up better than any tire we’ve tried. I ran a .170 et at 112.64 mph  about two weeks ago with an inferior armature. Gonna try to break both ends of the national record next year when I get a 31 gauge foot and 3/4 length arm from Scale.

Also in the process to get some traction magnets that will not require any cutting on the sides so they fit tight to the chassis, these will be neo level 33, should have them by Christmas. We are always looking to better the sport, and I don’t leave any stone unturned, like to do most of the stuff myself, that way we are in charge of our own future, too many flakes are in and out of this hobby, its hard to find guys dedicated for the long haul. Another project we’re trying  is working with a guy in Ohio to make us steel pinions and steel crown gears, don’t know how they’re going to work, but there is only one way to find out.

One of our racers on Michigan is going to be getting a brand new TKO track from Penn. Talked to the guy yesterday and he really wants to build a nice track for  Tommie in Michigan, willing to do what ever we want, so this looks promising, and I’m sure it will haul ass. Well got to get my ace to work, get those tracks fired up and get the boys ready for the upcoming year.
